A.  Send out a detailed tender and ask the right questions.

As a first step send a tender to all the web companies you are considering. Also speak to other clients they have worked for, if possible without them knowing. Examine the web sites previously built by the web company and see if they are as impressive and easy to use as you require.

If still in doubt ask a couple of companies that you have short listed to produce a visual for you on what they propose.
