Quatreus Web Design
John Auckland, marketing manager from Quatreus came to DSM back in August 2009 to design a new website in conjunction with a new brochure they were producing. They wanted something different, clever, unique and most of all exciting.
The main objective was to make the site interactive and engaging to users to make Quatreus stand out in their industry and to back the site up with an online marketing strategy that would deliver greater traffic and better search engine positioning.
Quatreus is a corporate events, marketing and exhibition company based in Surrey, UK and provides a wide range of services from teambuilding to multimedia and live events. In a way they are similar to DSM, they are a creative agency providing high quality B2B solutions.
The project was interesting and exciting for DSM as it evolved from ideas to conceptualisation. The first concept met the clients brief but it was decided that it created to much of a mixed message, though was highly original and creative.
So we then took a step back, re-evaluated the design, started from scratch and used even more clever code techniques to create a visually stunning website. Quatreus were keen that the imagery does the selling by being bold and vibrant. So we took that literally and made the entire site a photo portfolio that revolves with the content increasing the density of words (good for SEO) as well as being engaging and interactive.
The final piece to the jigsaw was to design and develop the website within our own CMS (Enhance Content Management System) which was a challenge, but we overcame the obstacles. There aren’t many CMS out there that are capable of handling such unique websites. But with a touch of creativity, class and innovation we were able to pull it off.
